Other Spectroscopy

There are several types of spectroscopy besides ICP, each with unique applications. Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) measures the concentration of metals by detecting the light absorbed by free atoms. Mass Spectrometry (MS) identifies and quantifies compounds based on their mass-to-charge ratio. UV-Vis Spectroscopy analyzes how substances absorb ultraviolet or visible light, useful in chemical and biological studies. Infrared (IR) Spectroscopy is commonly used to study molecular vibrations and identify functional groups in organic compounds.
