Pipettes

Pipettes are essential laboratory tools used in microbiology to measure and transfer liquids accurately. Volumetric pipettes deliver a single, fixed volume with high precision, ideal for preparing culture media. Graduated pipettes have markings for measuring various volumes and are versatile for many tasks. Micropipettes handle very small volumes, from 0.1 to 1000 µL, and are crucial in experiments with DNA, RNA, or bacterial suspensions. Pasteur pipettes are simple glass or plastic pipettes used to transfer liquids drop by drop. Serological pipettes are graduated for larger volumes, typically 1–50 mL, and are often used with a pipette aid or bulb.
