GC Columns

GC (Gas Chromatography) columns are narrow tubes—usually made of stainless steel, glass, or fused silica—used as the stationary phase in gas chromatography. They separate volatile compounds in a sample based on their interaction with the stationary phase and their boiling points. GC columns come in two main types: packed columns and capillary (open tubular) columns, with capillary columns being more commonly used due to higher efficiency and resolution.
