SFC Columns

SFC Columns (Supercritical Fluid Chromatography Columns) are similar to those used in HPLC, but are optimized for compatibility with supercritical fluids—most commonly supercritical carbon dioxide (CO₂). SFC columns are widely used for the separation of chiral compounds, pharmaceutical substances, and complex mixtures due to their high efficiency, speed, and reduced solvent usage. They offer faster analysis times and are considered more environmentally friendly compared to traditional liquid chromatography. Proper column selection and maintenance are critical to achieving optimal separation performance in SFC applications.
