Flammable and corrosive chemicals are kept in fire-resistant metal cabinets, while biological samples are stored in temperature-controlled refrigerators or cryogenic freezers. Transport boxes with insulation and shock protection are used to carry samples between laboratory departments or to external facilities. Plastic or glass bottles with tight lids prevent spills and contamination during storage and transport.
